A brief history of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy...

Craniosacral Therapy was originally pioneered by the work of Osteopath William Garner Sutherland when he observed that the bones of the cranium were not in fact fused as they were originally believed to be. The work moved away from mechanical approaches of motion testing, flexion and extension, towards an orientation to the subtler rhythms of the body and their role in healing pocesses.

Craniosacral Therapy has continued to progress over the years with the work of Rollin Becker, Franlyn Sills and Michael Shea amongst others. My training at The Karuna Institue encorporates Pre and Perinal Psychology, Peter Levine's trauma skills work, Somatic Experiencing, and buddhist psychology.
