What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) is a somatic approach to wellbeing, with a deep rooted belief in the inherent health of our bodymind systems. It is known for its gentleness and effectiveness in treating a variety of traumas and imbalances, helping you to reconnect to your body’s natural capacity for healing, self repair and wellbeing.

BCST practitioners are skilled at listening to subtle rhythms within the body, expressed in motions of cerebrospinal fluid, tissue and bone. These rhythms and subtle motions can reveal both the health that is present as well as areas in need of support. Practitioners also work to support the nervous system return to a place of balance and integration.

Most of us these days are walking around with invariable states of overwhelm and dissociation, due in part to the over stimulating world we live in, as well as the ensuing challenges we face throughout life. It is healthy to have an amount of challenge and stress in our day to day lives, but we get into difficulty when our system loses fluidity and flexibility.

BCST helps your systems to move out of stuck patterns of stress, anxiety, fear, numbness and shut down, and gently guides you towards deeper states of presence and embodiment. This in turn can support engagement in life with greater fullness, authenticity and freedom.
